About the Course

Welcome to FeverBee and HigherLogic's Building Successful Online Communities course.

This course is designed solely to help you launch, grow, and manage an online community that has a huge impact for your business or association. It combines the best content from two of our most popular course modules: Successful Community management and Advanced Community Strategy.

Successful Community Management builds upon the concepts learned in How to Start an Online Community by revealing the behavioral sciences that drive repeat member behavior. These theories, validated by years of academic research, have been carefully applied to our activity-driving tactics.

This course is for anyone who wants to excel in online community management. The concepts covered in this course will help you to drive more organic growth and repeat activity, and will also help you to create close bonds between community members. You'll learn proven conflict resolution techniques and will understand how to optimize your content and events. If your job entails managing an online community on a daily basis, you will find this course indispensable.

By the end of the course's lessons, you'll have a clear strategy for the daily management of your online community that's been reviewed by an experienced community manager. You'll understand how to measure and optimize each stage of the member conversion funnel, and will know the exact kinds of content that incentivize member activity. You'll also learn exactly how to build your own personal influence within your community.

Content included from the Advanced Community Strategy course delivers the advanced, proven methodology for future-proofing your existing online communities, maintaining levels of member engagement, and for directing a team of effective community managers.

This section of the course is designed for high-level strategists responsible for a team of community managers within an organization, or for those a running established communities for multiple clients. Whether you are challenged with maintaining the momentum of your members or controlling a thriving community, seeking to monetize your community or maximize the return on investment, this module will arm you with the theory and expertise to deliver on those objectives.

The advanced portion of this course will teach you academic theory, and will cover strategic concepts that will help advance your career as a community manager. If you complete all the assignments, you will leave the course with a defined, long-term strategy for managing your online community.
